Go with the Blood Flow

May be you’ve never thought about this. May be it has happened to you and you ignored it. Reasons can be many but the result has to be one; go with the blood flow!

When the blood circulation system in the body is not functioning properly, it can create any minor to severe health problems and diseases, even the ones you’re suffering from and never knew it is a cause of poor blood circulation. Blood circulation system is more than we’ve studied in school’s science class.

The circulation system is made up of Arteries, Capillaries, Veins and Blood. The whole circulatory system is responsible for purifying blood and transporting it to all the organs of the body. The blood consists of many vital substances like oxygen and nutrients which are very important for efficient functioning of our body.

How the blood circulation system functions?

It starts with the blood circulatory cycle. The heart pumps oxygen-rich blood from the left ventricle in to the main artery. From here it flows to small and large arteries and capillary network. The blood releases oxygen and nutrients and takes carbon dioxide and waste matters. The blood with less oxygen travels into right ventricle. This system is known as Systematic Circulation.

Pulmonary system is the one where the right ventricle pumps blood in to the pulmonary artery which further transfers to small and large arteries and capillaries. The carbon dioxide is released from the blood into air present in the pulmonary vesicles where new oxygen gets a gate in the blood stream. During our process of breathing out, carbon dioxide is released from the body and oxygenated blood travels again from the pulmonary vein into the left atrium. The new circulation cycle now starts with the new heartbeat.

As our feet are farthest parts of our body, sometimes they stay deprived of oxygen-rich blood. Hence, developing different blood flow related disorders in the body.

What causes poor blood circulation?

  • PAD – Peripheral Artery Disease
  • Blood clots
  • Lack of nutrition
  • Varicose Veins
  • Hypoactive Lifestyle/Obesity
  • Diabetes
  • Inadequate diet
  • Tobacco addiction
  • Dehydration

Effects of poor blood circulation

  • Swollen feet
  • Feet cramps
  • Cold feet
  • Muscle cramps
  • Foot, toe and heel pain
  • Dry feet
  • Foot ulcers
  • Foot numbness
  • Leg weakness
  • Foot skin discoloration

Beneficial foot blood circulation treatments

What happens if your automobile’s tyre is punctured? More happens to you than the automobile. You’re not able to move and the severity arises when you’re not even able to stand up on your feet. Various precautions, treatments and activities can overcome the circulation trouble in your feet.

  • Stop tobacco addiction. Tobacco is likely to develop Peripheral Artery disease (PAD) in your feet that narrows the blood vessels and reduces the blood flow to your limbs.
  • Foot related diseases are often called as life-style related diseases and one main part of our lifestyle is sitting for extended hours. Active life allows the body to function properly. If you have habit or have a job that makes you sit continuously for long time then take a break and stand up on your feet every two hours for at least three minutes.
  • Fashionable shoes which are tight-fit block the blood circulation in your feet. Also, wear shoes that provide proper cushioning to our feet to reduce the discomfort of walking trauma.
  • You must have heard about reduced amount of salt intake to stop hindering your blood commonly. This is because excess amount of salt puts pressure on veins. Even the processed foods available on the market are prone to extra salt.
  • Stay hydrated every day. Drink nutritional fluids and water to improve blood flow.
  • Losing weight for obese people has always been a good idea but with the advice of proper dietician and fitness trainer.
  • Normal stretching exercises are very easy to follow in routine. Walking, swimming, cycling, low jumping jacks, leg circles and leg kicks are few things to help your blood flow become good.
  • Use Electrical Muscle Stimulator (EMS) Foot Pulse EXO to boost blood flow in the foot. Foot Pulse EXO is a blood circulation machine which sends mild therapeutic electrical impulses through your foot soles. These impulses cause muscle contraction and pushing the blood from leg to heart. Constant muscle stimulation opens the blockages in the arteries and veins and help the circulatory system work properly. Spending only 30-minutes every day on Foot Pulse EXO can make your life rigorously active.

Electrical Muscle Stimulation also builds strength in people with former injuries and gives absolute relaxation in the body.

You have many alternatives to choose. Now it’s up to you to decide that you want to go with blood circulatory disorders or with the blood flow!
